Report:

This had to be one of the shortest flights we've had; truly a "hop" for The Hopper. Thankfully, fairly uneventful as well, considering the possibilities upon leaving a place such as Amsterdam.

The sprawling cityscape of Amsterdam is quite splendid, and it is suggested that if you ever get the chance that you fully explore its nooks and crannies in an ultralight or a heli. There are some fantastic freeware add-ons that enhance it quite nicely, such as Netherlands2000, which can be found at the usual sites such as AVSIM. Coupled with Ruud Faber's FScene textures, the region is quite the delight!

Upon leaving Schripol, we climbed out to a fairly low altitude and cracked open a Tilburg Brown Ale each and sat back. Before you knew it, we were in Brussels. Circled, landed nicely thanks to GB's skills and parked to finish the six pack we had. Really, that was the flight. So quick we almost overflew the damn place! Next time, perhaps train travel would be easier!

So now we are in Belgium. This is THE place for fine beer, and we'll probably be here a while. Coaxing us out of this brewing heaven may prove to be a chore, with a plethora of great abbys to sample from. Expect that we will stash several of these fine varieties for future consumption, especially as we reach some of the more sparsely populated and "dryer" areas of the world.

So kick back, relax and enjoy the finest beer in the world with us: Chimay, St. Bernardis, Kwak and others. We'll see you in Switzerland in a few weeks.
